Metal plate attached to stone post by the A7, in parish of WESTLINTON (CARLISLE District), Blackford, on grass verge, on East side of road. Carlisle round iron plate, erected by the Kingstown & Westlinton Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (CARLISLE) (4) (MILES) (-) Grade II Listed.
