Metal plate attached to stone post by the A69, in parish of ROCKCLIFFE (CARLISLE District), Harker opposite garage, on grass verge, on East side of road. Carlisle round iron plate, erected by the Kingstown & Westlinton Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- CARLISLE 3 MILES Grade II Listed.
