Cast iron post by the A559, in parish of Antrobus (Vale Royal District), Gibb Hill, in angle of Pole Lane and drive to Belmont Hall, set back from road; back to low stone wall, on North East side of road. Cast iron CCC1896, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : GREAT BUDWORTH / 1 MILE / NORTHWICH 4 : : CHESHIRE / 1896 / COUNTY COUNCIL : : STRETTON / 3½ MILES / STOCKTON HEATH / 5¾ MILES / WARRINGTON 7 : Maker:- : W H SMITH & CO / MAKERS / WHITCHURCH : Milestone Society National ID: CH_WANW07
