Cast iron post by the UC road (was A534), in parish of Haslington (Crewe and Nantwich District), Crewe Road; Winterley Pool, by duck pond, on grass in front of metal fencing, on East side of road. Cast iron CCC1896, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HASLINGTON / 1 MILE / CREWE 3 / NANTWICH 7 / WHITCHURCH 18 : : CHESHIRE / 1896 / COUNTY COUNCIL : : WHEELOCK / 1½ MILES / SANDBACH 3 / CONGLETON 10 : Maker:- : W H SMITH & CO / MAKERS / WHITCHURCH : Milestone Society National ID: CH_NWCO07
