Cast iron post by the A533, in parish of Stanthorne (Vale Royal District), Bostock Road; Greenhay's Farm, in hedge, on West side of road. Old domed open book 1833 casting, erected by the Spann Smithy, Booth Lane & Winsford turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : NORTHWICH / 5 / MILES : : MIDDLEWICH / 1 / MILE / SANDBACH / 6 : Parish, date and Maker's plate:- : STANTHORNE / 1833 / W.E / M : Grade II listed.
