Carved stone post by the A40, in parish of West Wycombe (Wycombe District), High Street; at junction of A40 with A4010 to Aylesbury, opposite garage, on grass verge beside fence, on North side of road. Dashwood stone obelisk, erected by a private company in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : FROM THE CITY XXX : : FROM THE UNIVERSITY XXII : : FROM THE COUNTY TOWN XV : : -F- DASHWOOD / MDCCLII / AERAE CHRISTIANAE : Grade II listed.
