Carved stone post by the B4507, in parish of Uffington (Vale of White Horse District), Icknield Way; West of Britchcombe Farm, in hedge bottom against road edge, on North side of road. Shrivenham pillar, erected by the Wallingford, Wantage & Faringdon turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- To Wantage VI Miles Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Oxfordshire HER.
