Metal plate attached to stone post by the A417, in parish of Buscot (Vale of White Horse District), Lechlade Road; against wall of Buscot House, 300m East of main gate, set in gravel on footpath against stone wall, on South West side of road. Faringdon post and iron plate, erected by the Fyfield, Newbridge & St John's Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- FARINGᴺ 3 LECHLAᴱ 3 Carved benchmark left upper.
