View west beside the A12 Eastern Avenue, on the bridge over the Fairlop Loop (Leytonstone, left - Woodford, right) section of the London Underground Central Line. The entrance to the station is through the unusual arch on the right, which is in fact the bus station. The ex-GER loop line underneath, from Woodford (on the Epping line), converted for the LPTB in 12/47, is about to enter on the left the new tunnel section (also built 12/47) of the Central Line to Leytonstone Junction, where it joins the ex-GER Epping line from Stratford, thence on the surface to continue as the 1946 extension of the Central line from Liverpool Street.
