The Town Hall beagn life as the Mechanics Institute in 1862 https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200358886-coldstream-73-high-street-town-hall-coldstream#.Whny9zdpHVI The Free Church closed in 1950 and is now a bar. Most of what is visible in this picture dates from 1891.
