Audley's Cross, Blore Heath near Market Drayton

Audley's Cross marks the site where James Tuchet, Lord Audley who was in charge of the Lancastrian army was fatally injured during the Battle of Blore Heath on September 23rd 1459. This was one of the first battles in the War of the Roses. The cross lies on private land.
