The notable Norman font, a product of the Herefordshire School of Romanesque Sculpture and dated to around 1138 by Malcolm Thurlby in the standard work on the subject. The sculptor is not known by name, but has been identified as the Aston master, responsible for the tympanum at St Giles, Pipe Aston and for work at Kilpeck and Shobdon. A pitch-dark church made the use of artificial light necessary.
