Winford's church for generations has been serving the population since the fifteenth century. The main part of the church was subject to extensive rebuilding in the late eighteenth, but the tower remains largely original. Note the polygonal stair turret raising from the roof to the top of the four stages. It is typical of the sort of style of towers found in Somerset.
