Quantock Lodge has had a number of functions since Lord Taunton chose land outside the village of Over Stowey to be excavated to build Quantock Lodge The site has been a large country retreat from 1865 until the early 20th century; a grand country house with extensive grounds; a TB hospital providing care for patients from all over the county and beyond; in the early 1960s, a boys, then co-ed boarding school to its current use in the 21st century as a residential education centre and leisure centre. The main house operates as a venue for one off parties, conferences, weddings and weekend house parties. http://www.quantocklodge.co.uk/
