Thought to be the oldest pub in Cheltenham dating from the 15th Century and renamed The Restoration in 1661 in honour of the restoration of King Charles II. The pub kept the name until 2007 with a brief spell as The Varsity until 2010 in an attempt to attract student drinkers. The latest name The Old Restoration dates from 2010.
