This building on Kingswell Street has been revived in its old role as a brewery fronted by the Albion Bar, the brewery tap. The old Phipps company, a long established Northampton brewer, was taken over by Watney Mann in 1960; the old brewery site, just a short walk away, is now home to Carlsberg. However, the dormant Phipps name was revived in 2008 by the Nortampton Brewery Company and beer production was restarted here in 2014.
