Although his home was across the busy main road through Saltney, Brutus made the daily journey to sleep and welcome people into the Morrisons store in Saltney. He was a firm favourite with shoppers and always stayed just outside the shop itself, possibly because of the warm air blowers at the entrance! As seen here Brutus also enjoyed lounging in the sun outside the store, no doubt planning what he would next put on his personal Facebook page. Sadly Brutus passed away earlier in 2017, and in remembrance a statue has now been installed in the store.
