Nearest the camera is a model of RFA (Royal Fleet Auxiliary) Sir Galahad an LSL (landing ship logistics) vessel; this ship was destroyed by an Argentine attack at Fitzroy on 8th June 1982 in the Falklands War. Beyond is H.M.S Ashanti, Tribal class frigate. A notice on the stand gives details of the radio-controlled model frigate, built from scratch by Des Burgess Allen, High Wycombe Model Boat Club. Working features include lights, revolving radar masts, smoke generator, siren, and rotating helicopter blades. The frigate itself is docked at Gosport and is used as a marine engineers training ship.
