The entrance faces the village street, near the south-east end of the barn. As tends to be the case with ancient barns, the roof shows a lot of 'topography' - though I have seen more extreme examples: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4619745 The barn walls would, I suppose, be described as being built of coursed flint.
