I did an almost textbook double take when I spotted this. The sign reads, "Music Event at Linlithgow. Expect Delays". I am at a loss to understand why the attention of drivers on the A96 was being drawn to an event in Linlithgow, which is a mere 3½ hours' drive, over 160 miles, away by the shortest route. Do they really expect there to be a 160-mile-long traffic jam? Are there really no roadworks causing delays any nearer than Linlithgow?
