Built in the Arts and Crafts-style in 1886 and remodelled in 1902, the building remained a Gentleman's club until 1998 when it became vacant. It was empty and in a state of disrepair until 2013 when it was converted into a hotel. Listed, grade B+, there are details and history at: http://appsc.doeni.gov.uk/buildings/buildview.aspx?id=1011&js=false
