Datestone 'W A E 1700' on façade of dwellings at Nos.8 & 6 Silver Street, Hollingsworth Cottage and Hollingsworth House respectively: Image The initials are ascribed to Anthony Westoby (1636-1702), my great (x8) grandfather, and Elizabeth, his second wife (d 1729). Anthony had joined the Society of Friends by 1667 and represented the Winteringham meeting by 1671. Meetings were being held at Anthony's house by 1698.
