St Peter's was built between 1841 and 1842, and designed by Hurst and Moffatt. The chancel was added in about 1884. The church was badly damaged by bombs during the Second World War. It was repaired, but did not re-open until 1958. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Peter%27s_Church,_Rock_Ferry
