Grade II Listed house, probably 17th century, refronted in the 18th century. One occupant at time of his death was Wing Commander William Howard Costello (1895-1963) who took his ‘Ticket’ at the Military School Birmingham, on the 12th December 1916 while flying a Maurice Farman Biplane. He was in 70 Sqn. RFC and taken POW in March 1917.
