Not many Methodist churches have a tower. This very active and well-supported church dates from the 1920s. The wall is new, having been provided as an adjunct to the new Coulsdon Inner Relief Road, which re-joins the existing A23 alignment here. Just two years ago, semi-detached houses occupied the plot of land to the right of the lamp-standard.
