Grade II* Listed public house known to be occupied by 1487 it was built around 1480 as a range of 3 buildings, probably as shops with domestic quarters over. Cross wings were added early in the 16th and 19th centuries the last probably involved demolition of a hall range. Under threat of being demolished in the 1970s it was restored 1981-82. The south end has been an inn since at least 1714 but was forced to close in 1919. Photos in the few years before closure show a sign reading 'LAWS & Co. FINE ALES - WINES & SPIRITS.' A provisional licence was granted April 1980 and restoration by the West Norfolk District Council commenced. Free trade Lease was purchased by CAMRA ( Real Ale Investments ) from Kings Lynn Borough Council 1982. Wetherspoon's purchased the property in November 1998 and sold it to Hawthorn Leisure around May 2016. Directory entries (under Lynn or Lynn Regis) for the Lattice include; 1839 Susan Tuck (No.27); 1854-1869 William Huddlestone; 1877 Robert Bayes; 1883 John Leman; 1890-1892 Albert Booty; 1896 Martin John Bone; 1901 no name just 'Old Lattice, Chapel st.'; 1904-1912 Richard Medlock.
