Tucked away from the main public areas is this small terrace where Neil Munro was born. He wrote historical novels of the Jacobite period but his best known character is Para Handy the wily skipper of a Clyde puffer "The Vital Spark" which was famously "the only boat on the Clyde wi' square ball bearins". Several TV series were made with many Scottish character actors in the cast.
