Opened in 1858 on the Highland Railway's line from Inverness to Keith, this station closed in 1860 when it was replaced by one about 250m further east (away from the camera position), at the junction of the short Findhorn branch. After the branch closed, the station was moved back to this position in 1904. It closed in 1964. The line was later singled. View east towards Alves and Keith. As well as the platforms, the main building was extant as a private residence when this image was taken, located behind the trees to the left.
