The milestone is located at the south end of the bridge over Randle Brook, on the east side of the road. Parish of Rainford (St Helens District). Carved stone post, Lancashire CC triangle design, erected by Lancashire County Council in the 19th century Inscription reads:- : ORMSKIRK / 6 / MILES : : St. HELENS / 5 / MILES : Milestone Society National ID: LA_SHOK05
