Station Road hotel on the corner of Cotmaton Road. The blue plaque http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5399538 on the hotel records that Woodlands was formerly Old Hayes, a later medieval manor house transformed to a fashionable cottage orné where Lord Gwydir, Chamberlain to the Prince Regent, entertained his society friends from 1806-1817. Woodlands Hotel was Grade II listed in 1951.
