A carved inscription at the top of the building says : PRIMITIVE METHODIST MISSION HALL. 1899. JOB PENNINGTON'S MEMORIAL. The church has an adjacent hall (wall on left), which is available for hire http://www.kendalmethodistcircuit.org.uk/fellside/ .
