There is reference to a "hotel" on this site in the 1863 OS Map, while the 1925 OS Map records a "Victoria Hotel". Despite being adjacent to the (now closed) How Mill railway station, it seems to have escaped the clutches of the State Management Scheme. Still trading - although opening hours are uncertain. Photograph is for record only - I have no connection with this business and cannot advise on its products or services.
