In the Crawford Chapel (also known as the Lady Chapel) lies the tomb of William and Mabel Bradshaigh. It was Mabel who founded the chapel in 1338. She was the heroine of the local Mab's Cross legend http://www.wiganarchsoc.co.uk/content/History/Mabs_Cross.htm
