Originally an open field called Upper Wicks according to Henfield's 1844 tithe map that became part of a nursery in the 1960s with a house in this spot called The Bungalow. The nursery was closed around 2004 with the dwelling renamed Marnor, marked as such on the current OS map. Whether it retains that name I do not know as can be seen a completely new dwelling is in the process of being constructed.
