Opened in 1885 by the London & South Western Railway where the Andover-Romsey line met the branch line from Hurstbourne, this station replaced an earlier station some 200 metres north west, closer to Andover. The station closed in 1964. View north west towards Clatford and Andover, the platform for which still lurks in the woodland next to a public footpath.
