St George's, Brandon Hill: Steinways set for an unusual recital: on the left, the older instrument specially prepared for 20th century American music; on the right, the new, ready for 18th century Baroque. This concert was due to be repeated shortly afterwards at London's Wigmore Hall. Both offer exceptional acoustics for soloists and small ensembles and are, thus, favourite recording venues for the BBC.
