Redundant roundabout on Halton Moor Road

I presume the roundabout dates from when Halton Moor Road was a thoroughfare for vehicles. Now, the section behind the photographer is only a bridleway, and as far as motor traffic is concerned it is merely a bend in the road where it becomes Cartmell Drive (left).
