This tram, which was delivered to Metrolink on the 22nd November 2014 and entered service on the 3rd December, is passing some shops in Hollyhedge Road. It is en route to Cornbrook, which at the time this photograph was taken was the city centre terminus for the Manchester Airport line. It is one of the current fleet of 120 M5000 class trams built by Bombardier and delivered between 2009 and 2016. Metrolink's fleet of trams and its system are both, at the time of writing, the largest in the UK. Image
