A bank of cloud and rain starts to envelop Carnforth in this view from Warton Crag. Whereas other parts of the UK suffered from high winds, heavy rain/snow and stormy seas, 'Doris' was a complete meteorological non-event here. Without all the hype it would have gone unnoticed in this part of the world.
