The row of shops here is known as Duchess Parade but it is part of the High Street which seems to give rise to some confusion with addresses. The Star and Garter is now permanently closed and while it is always sad to see pubs disappear this one had an appalling reputation for drug dealing and violence. Its licence was initially suspended for 30 days in August 2016 and the local council received no application for it to reopen.
