New housing development on what was the old Holiday Village site. See Image Pebble Beach Seaton occupies part of the former Butlin's Holiday camp which opened in the 1930s and could accommodate 720 people. Butlin's became Warner's and later merged with the adjacent Blue Waters Holiday Village in the mid eighties and renamed Lyme Bay Holiday Village. The demand for traditional family sea side holidays became less through the nineties and the site gradually wound down, finally closing in 2009 having been bought for redevelopment.
