Street lighting on the Emscote Gardens estate is turned off for about five hours at night. The Highway Authority has installed single LED lighting columns at or near junctions. They give a bright cold light. LED stands for light-emitting diode https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light-emitting_diode
