At the end of the day, the 26th section of 57 sections has been bolted down, with each section being 6metres in length and weighing 7.5 tons the new mast at Brocklebank will weigh 427.5 tons and will have a height of 342metres making it the third tallest in the country and will be transmitting it digital signal to northern Cumbria by 2009. The old mast will eventually be taken down.
