Built in 1938 by Thomas Lyon, in a style described by Nicholas Taylor as "striking compared with most semi-traditional churches of the period." Dr Rowan Williams, later Archbishop successively of Wales and Canterbury and then Master of Magdalene, was an honorary curate here from 1980-83 – his only direct experience of parish ministry.
