- Pillbox (type FW3/24): DoB ID: S0012745 There are around seven of the former airfield's pillboxes still extant, this is the first of five I was able to locate during a day spent exploring this site, and the only one located outside a local nature reserve. The outline of the concrete roof clearly shows its irregular hexagon shape. Judging by the embrasures, much of this pillbox lies below ground. Image
