The information board in the centre of this image reads (quote): 'This square was redesigned and rebuilt as a result of requests during 1999 by the senior citizens in the surrounding houses to make maintenance easier. The town's local volunteer group set about and transformed the complete area, by raising all the flower beds and replanting. Flowering cherry trees were also planted and has now enhanced the ambience of the complete square'
