Aka Abbeyfield. A clear break from the Close's predominant Georgian, "a good house of its time, even if in the wrong place [insensitive to the demands of the E view of the cathedral]". By John Brown, 1862-64, with J.C. Buckler. Flint generously smattered with polychromatic brick and stone. Grade II listed.
