This was until relatively recently part of Hornchurch Marshes. Now it is heavily industrialised and the only sign that this was once marshland are the dykes, like the one here alongside Marsh Way although it is a rather sad relic. The A13 is on the flyover ahead and the bus on the left is the 174 which has just started its journey from the Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence on Marsh Way. It goes via Dagenham Heathway and Romford stations to Dagnam Park.
