One of the plaques on the enclosure pillars. The monument stands in a small enclosure and, rather incongruously, in the middle of an industrial estate. The monument was erected in 1819 and is 144 feet (44 metres) high. The monument is listed, grade I, with details at: https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1246057
