One of the city's grandest town houses, plain but distinguished by its full-height central bow which contains a curved pedimented doorcase (Image]). Built c1772 for Rev. Daniel Wilson. The architect may have been John Hird, a local carpenter and joiner by trade. Grade II* listed. Now at least partly in commercial use. The listing records that "during the excavations for the cellar in 1775 a number of Roman coins and pottery fragments were discovered".
